The heavily-favored France men’s soccer team will take on Australia in a World Cup Group D stage match Tuesday at Al Janoub Stadium.

The French, who currently have the third-best odds to win the tournament at DraftKings Sportsbook behind only Brazil (+275) and England (6-to-1), will be without Ballon d?Or winner Karim Benzema for the entirety of the World Cup, but still possesses depth Australia hasn’t yet faced. WWE Crown Jewel 2022: Start Times, How to Watch Logan Paul vs. Roman Reigns

Logan Paul wrestles for the WWE Universal Championship on Saturday at Crown Jewel in his third match.

WWE is returning to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel on Saturday. WWE typically pulls extravagant rabbits out of its hat for Saudi events, but even by those standards Crown Jewel has a strange main event. Logan Paul, in his third ever wrestling match, takes on Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship titles. Look at that poster above. Even Paul looks surprised to be there.

The story going into the match is that Paul is clearly outclassed, but only needs one lucky shot to prevail. It comes a week after Paul's brother, Jake Paul, beat UFC legend Anderson Silva in a boxing match, so anything is possible with these Paul brothers.

Crown Jewel's main event is by far its most intriguing match. The semi-main event will see Brock Lesnar face Bobby Lashley, a return bout from their Royal Rumble clash. Also on the show: Drew McIntyre takes on Karrion Kross in a steel cage, and Bayley challenges for the Raw Women's Championship in a Last Woman Standing match.

Crown Jewel 2022 Start Times

With Crown Jewel broadcasting from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, start times will be different than normal. The show will air 9 a.m. PT (noon ET) on Nov. 5. That's 4 p.m. UK time, which is a treat for people in the region who usually have to wait until midnight to get their grappling fix. This time it's the Australians who have it the hardest: Crown Jewel airs at 3 a.m. AEDT

Full card

WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Logan Paul.

Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley.

Last Woman Standing, Raw Women's Championship: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley.

Steel Cage: Drew McIntyre vs. Karrion Kross.

Braun Strowman vs. Omos.

Women's Tag Team Championship: Damage CTRL (c) vs. Asuka and Alexa Bliss.

Undisputed Tag Team Championships: The Usos (c) vs. The Brawling Brutes.

The O.C. vs. The Judgement Day.

How to watch: Peacock, WWE Network

As you probably know by now, Peacock is the new home of WWE's pay-per-views. The WWE Network has in essence migrated to NBC's Peacock streaming service, and that's where you'll go to watch Crown Jewel 2022. Peacock has three tiers: Free, Premium and Premium Plus. To watch WWE content, you'll need a Premium subscription. The good news is that'll set you back $5 a month, less than the $10 for WWE Network.

If you're outside of the US, you'll watch Crown Jewel 2022 on the WWE Network as usual.

UFC 280: Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makhachev fight card, start time, channel guide

UFC 280, one of the UFC's best pay-per-views of the year so far, goes down this Saturday. It will be the promotion's first event in Abu Dhabi—the site of the famous Fight Island—since this time last year, and the line-up is suitably stacked for the occasion.

All the information you need to watch UFC 280: Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makhachev on Saturday, Oct. 15, can be found here.

  • Event: UFC 280: Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makhachev
  • Date: Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022
  • Start Time: Prelims begin at 10 a.m. ET / 7 a.m. PT; Main card begins at 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT
  • Venue: Etihad Arena
  • Location: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • Main Card Broadcast: ESPN+ PPV
  • Prelims Broadcast: ESPN+/ESPNEWS

UFC 280 Main Card (ESPN+ PPV, 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT)

Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makhachev – Lightweight title

Aljamain Sterling vs. T.J. Dillashaw – Bantamweight title

Petr Yan vs. Sean O’Malley

Beneil Dariush vs. Mateusz Gamrot

Katlyn Chookagian vs. Manon Fiorot

UFC Vegas 62 Preliminary Card (ESPN+/ESPNEWS, 10 a.m. ET / 7 a.m. PT)

Belal Muhammad vs. Sean Brady

Makhmud Muradov vs. Caio Borralho

Volkan Oezdemir vs. Nikita Krylov

Zubaira Tukhugov vs. Lucas Almeida

Abubakar Nurmagomedov vs. Gadzhi Omargadzhiev

Armen Petrosyan vs. AJ Dobson

Muhammad Mokaev vs. Malcolm Gordon

Lina Länsberg vs. Karol Rosa

Headlining honours will go to a lightweight title fight between Brazil's Charles Oliveira and Russia's Islam Makhachev. Oliveira was the champion until May, when he missed weight for a fight with Justin Gaethje and was stripped of the title as a consequence. He won that fight by second-round submission, positioning himself to fight for the belt he never actually lost. Makhachev, the star protégé of lightweight great Khabib Nurmagomedov, earned his opportunity to fight for the vacant throne with 10-straight wins in the Octagon, including recent beatdowns of Bobby Green and Dan Hooker.

The co-main event spot will also go to a title fight, as bantamweight champ Aljamain Sterling defends his belt against TJ Dillashaw, who was himself the champion until he was ousted for failing a drug test.

The middle fight of the main card will also occur at bantamweight, where rising star Sean O'Malley will take a massive step up in competition against former champion Petr Yan. All signs point to the winner getting the next shot at the belt—whomever holds it after the co-main event.

Before the bantamweights get to work, No. 6 lightweight contender Beneil Dariush will risk his spot against former KSW champ Mateusz Gamrot, the division's No. 9-ranked contender. This fight looked like a title eliminator until news surfaced that featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovski will probably get the next crack at the lightweight belt.

A flyweight fight between No. 1-ranked contender Katlyn Chookagian—the last stop before a fight with champ Valentina Shevchenko—and sixth-ranked Manon Fiorot will kick off the main card. Fiorot has long looked like a future title challenger and this fight will tell us if she's ready.

It's a card full of excellent match-ups with major implications, and all of them look like they could go either way. Keep scrolling to see who the B/R combat sports squad is picking to leave Abu Dhabi victorious.

Canelo vs GGG 3 live stream: How to watch fight online and on TV tonight

For years it's seemed like the Canelo vs GGG trilogy was never going to materialize, but at long last, tonight, Gennady Golovkin has his shot at redemption. The Kazakhstani great has had four years to stew over the controversial defeat that had looked to so many like a Golovkin victory but, at the age of 40, does he still have the physical tools to go blow-for-blow with Saul Alvarez? Their previous two fights have gone down in boxing legend, so read on as we explain how to watch a Canelo vs GGG 3 live stream online today from anywhere in the world.

Both fighters successfully made weight at yesterday's weigh-in in Las Vegas, which you can watch below. Alvarez tipped the scales at 167.4lbs and Golovkin at 167.8lbs, the heaviest he's ever been, for this 168lb fight.

CANELO VS GGG 3 LIVE STREAM

Date: Saturday, September 17
Venue: T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada
Event start: 8pm ET / 5pm PT / 1am BST / 10am AEST
Canelo vs GGG 3 ring walks (approx): 11pm ET / 8pm PT / 4am BST / 1pm AEST
Free live stream: Azteca 7 in Mexico(opens in new tab)

GGG was 35, three years older than Canelo is now, when the pound-for-pound boxing titans first locked horns on September 2017. It was a ferocious contest that saw Golovkin land 218 punches to Canelo's 169, but the judges were split and the fight was deemed a draw. Most onloookers were able to accept that outcome as a fair one, but plenty of eyebrows were raised at judge Adalaide Byrd's 118–110 scorecard, which scored heavily in favor of Canelo.

The rematch was scheduled for May 2018, but had to be pushed back when Canelo tested positive for clenbuterol, a banned substance that can help with breathing and enhance work rate. The duo eventually met again in September, after Canelo had served his suspension, and they fought out an even more closely contested classic, which GGG again seemed to have edged.

He landed 234 punches to Canelo's 202, though the Mexican landed 143 power punches to the Kazakh's 116. Two of the judges scored 115–113 in favor of Canelo, who walked away with Golovkin's WBA (Super), WBC, and IBO middleweight titles, and The Ring middleweight title that he'd been stripped of.

It left a sour taste in the mouth of not just Golovkin and his fans but a great deal of neutrals too, and after four years of ill feeling, we've finally got another big drama show. The Mexican has laid his IBF, WBA (super), WBC and WBO super middleweight belts on the line. Follow our guide as we explain how to watch a Canelo vs GGG 3 live stream from anywhere.

Canelo vs GGG 3 takes place on Saturday, September 17, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The event is set to get underway at 8pm ET / 5pm PT, while it's a 1am BST start for fans based in the UK. For Aussies the action gets underway at 10am AEST on Sunday morning, and Kiwis are looking at a 12pm NZST start.

Watch Luis Ortiz vs Andy Ruiz Jr Live FOX PPV Streaming Boxing

Andy Ruiz vs. Luis Ortiz fight prediction, odds, undercard, start time, PPV price, preview, expert pick

Sunday's heavyweight matchup between Luis Ortiz and Andy Ruiz is, in all likelihood, the last chance for either man to battle their way back into contention for a world title. It is that reality that adds more weight to a showdown between men most known for their roles as the B-side in fights with some of the best heavyweights of their era.

Ruiz (34-2, 22 KO) shocked the world in December 2019, knocking out Anthony Joshua to capture the WBA, IBF and WBO world titles. It was a perfect example of what Ruiz is capable of: speed, strength and combination punching that goes against what a casual observer would expect given his body type.

The rematch with Joshua the following December was the opposite, with Ruiz's worst traits on display. Ruiz entered the fight at 283 pounds, up from 268 in the first fight. Ruiz seemed disinterested in putting in the hard work required to be the best in the world and it resulted in a poor showing as Joshua ran circles around him.

Ruiz has only fought once since losing his three world titles, a somewhat underwhelming showing against Chris Arreola in May 2021. Ruiz was dropped in the second round of that fight but did take a unanimous decision on fairly wide scorecards.

Discipline has been Ruiz's kryptonite throughout his career and he has changed trainers multiple times in recent years. After splitting from Eddy Reynoso, Ruiz heads into the Ortiz fight with new trainer Alfredo Osuna.

Ortiz (33-2, 28 KO) spent many years as a feared member of the heavyweight division but big fights did not materialize for him until he landed a March 2018 fight with WBC champion Deontay Wilder.

Ortiz entered the first Wilder fight with a perfect record and having knocked out nearly every opponent he had faced. What followed was a thrilling war with loads of power shots thrown by both men before Wilder was able to score the stoppage in Round 10. The pair would rematch in November 2019, the second fight being fought at a much slower pace and with Ortiz arguably deserving to have won every round before a Wilder right hand ended the fight in the seventh round.

Ortiz has fought twice since losing his second chance to become world champion. In his most recent fight, his first in 14 months, Ortiz had to get off the canvas twice before knocking out Charles Martin.

The general consensus after the Martin fight was that age had finally caught up to Ortiz, 42, and that the countdown was on to the end of his career. And, to be sure, Ortiz looked slow, hittable and was not taking punches well at all. But they say power is the last thing to go and the end of the bout showed that Ortiz still has plenty of dynamite left in his fists.

Viewing information

  • Date: Sept. 4 | Start time: 9 p.m. ET
  • Location: Crypto.com Arena -- Los Angeles
  • TV channel/PPV: Fox PPV | Price: $74.99

Prediction

  • At his best, Ortiz would have made easy work of Martin. That he didn't, and the way he looked throughout the fight, really does make it hard to pick Ortiz to get the win here. More than anything, it was how much Ortiz had slowed down that causes concern. Ruiz is fast for his size and looks to be in fantastic shape compared to those times where he has not managed his weight or diet ahead of a big fight.

Ortiz is likely going to struggle to find Ruiz all night. It's true that Ortiz can end the fight with a single clean punch, but it's simply more likely that Ruiz piles up rounds by working angles and clean combination punching while Ortiz lumbers around the ring looking to land a bomb.

Teixeira will be making the first defense of the title he won against Jan Blachowicz this past October. At 42 years old, Teixeira was the oldest first-time champion in UFC history. Unlike Teixeira's decade-plus in the UFC before becoming champ, Prochazka is looking to capture the belt in just his third UFC bout after a pair of explosive knockouts to start his Octagon career. Prochazka has won 10 consecutive fights by knockout.

In the co-main event, Taila Santos will challenge for the women's flyweight championship against dominant titleholder Valentina Shevchenko. No one other than Amanda Nunes has been able to beat Shevchenko in the UFC and she is undefeated over her career at flyweight. Santos is the seventh woman to challenge Shevchenko since she won the title in December 2018. Santos enters the fight riding a four-fight winning streak.

Charles Oliveira vs. Justin Gaethje is on for UFC 274.

The UFC confirmed the bout during the UFC 272 pay-per-view broadcast. UFC 274 card will take place at Footprint Center in Phoenix. The city has played host to three past UFC events, though UFC 274 will be the first pay-per-view event held in Phoenix.

·         Oliveira (32-8, 1 NC) scored the first defense of his 155-pound title in December at UFC 269 when he submitted fan-favorite Dustin Poirier in the third round. CBS Sports' Fighter of the Year runner-up has won 10 fights in a row with nine finishes, including a TKO victory over Michael Chandler to claim the vacant strap and a submission of Kevin Lee.

·         Gaethje (23-3) enters the fight coming off his 2021 Fight of the Year against Chandler at UFC 268 on Nov. 6. The former UFC interim lightweight champion has won five of his last six fights with four TKOs. The only setback in that stretch was a title unification bout vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 254, where he was submitted before the Russian announced his retirement.

A UFC light heavyweight title fight pitting champion Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Prochazka was originally planned for the event though it was eventually pushed to UFC 275.

World Cup 2022 tournament format

The 2022 World Cup tournament will follow along the lines of past editions with a 32-team group stage which whittles the field down to 16 teams — only the top two teams from each group will advance.

Those 16 survivors will then begin a single-game knockout competition. The winner moves on, the loser goes home. There must be a winner on the day for every match, and extra time and penalty kicks will be used, if necessary.
